About Greentree’s Gym

The Before

For years, I lived like most modern fathers do:

Overworked.
Under-recovered.
Eating whatever was closest.
Promising myself I’d “get back in shape soon.”
Telling my kids “just a minute” more times than I wanted to admit.

I became the husband who came home drained.
The dad who watched his strength fade and pretended it didn’t bother him.
The coach who poured into everyone else while letting his own standards slip.

I could feel the gap widening between the man I thought I was and the man I had actually become.

I wasn’t lazy. I was lost in the whirlwind of responsibility.

But the result was the same:

A soft body. A short fuse. A sinking feeling that my family deserved a stronger man than the one walking through the door.

The Turning Point

My wake-up call wasn’t dramatic. It was simple.

One night, after wrestling with my son, I struggled to get off the floor. He watched me curiously, and the look on his face hit me harder than any weight ever could.

Kids don’t follow advice. They follow examples.

And in that moment, I knew exactly what kind of example I was setting.

My wife wasn’t saying anything, but I could feel it too:
The slow erosion of respect that happens when a man stops leading himself.

That night, I made a decision:

No more “I’ll start Monday.” No more pretending I had time to fix it later. No more drifting.

I was going to rebuild myself. Not for a season, but for life.

The Rebuild (Ongoing Journey)

I started small. Then I stayed consistent.

I’m dropping fat, gaining muscle, and feeling energy I haven’t felt in years. I’m becoming the dad who plays harder, leads stronger, and doesn’t hide behind excuses. I’m becoming more patient, more present, more anchored.

But most importantly:

I’m rebuilding my self-respect.

And that’s exactly why this publication exists.

What I Believe About Fatherhood & Fitness

These aren’t theories. These are the convictions shaping everything I write:

  • A weak father teaches his kids to be afraid of the world.

  • Your body is the most honest reflection of your habits.

  • Discipline is not about control — it’s about love.

  • If you can’t keep promises to yourself, your family feels it instantly.

  • A strong home starts with a strong man.

  • Every rep in the gym is a rep for your kids’ future.

  • Fatherhood and fitness aren’t separate. They’re the same mission lived in two arenas.

This is the code. This is the standard.

Why Greentree’s Gym Exists

I built this publication for the man I used to be.

For the dad who knows he’s capable of more but needs the blueprint, the spark, and the standard to rise to.

Greentree’s Gym is where strength, leadership, discipline, and fatherhood collide.

If you want to rebuild your body, sharpen your mind, and become the man your family looks up to;

You’re in the right place.
